Tried to recreate one of Vincent van Gogh's self-portraits with oil pastel chalk. Also tried to capture his so recognisable style on canvas. Also tried the colours and the dashes of paint he put next to each other that are so characteristic of him but what is is difficult to match. With oil pastel crayons, you can put layers/dashes over and next to each other so you can paint a little bit in his style.
The sun shines on his yellow straw hat and the light shines on the side of his face highlighting his eyebrows and red beard.
