Digital painting, in the style of Vincent van Gogh, of Vincent's Bistro in Etten-Leur (Brabant). This cosy bistro is located on the Markthof in Etten-Leur, Brabant. In front of the door is the pouty tree where Vincent often sat down to draw and paint, but also to go for a walk. Indeed, the tree was planted as early as around 1675, so it has been there for over 345 years now. So it is a very special thought that Vincent himself also walked around here and if he had seen the yellow building on the corner of the Markthof, he might have painted it in this, so typical of him, style. Since my mother was born opposite Vincent van Gogh's birthplace, in Zundert, I was brought up on both the art and the life history of Vincent. As a child, my parents and I visited many places where Vincent lived and worked (including France). When I heard about Vincent's Bistro and the idea behind it, I not only went there to eat a few times already but had an immediate desire to create this work of art. I am therefore proud that the idea I immediately had in my head came out this way. One small detail is hidden in the work, but I leave that to the viewer/purchaser to find. In short, the work has acquired an extra special meaning for me but perhaps also for those who follow the life of Vincent van Gogh and/or live in Etten-Leur.
