We drove back after a long mountain hike and got hopelessly lost in Corsica's winding roads. Along the way, the sun suddenly broke through to cast this tiny village in a golden light. Many of the trees you see in the picture are chestnut trees. The region is therefore called 'Castagniccia' and is famous for its many chestnuts. Wild pigs live off them and residents use chestnuts in all kinds of products.
