Views of the Dolomites | Lago di Carezza | travel photography by Laura Dijkslag

While travelling through the Italian Dolomites, I took this panoramic photo of the Karersee or Lago di Carezza as the Italians call it. I have never seen such clear water in such a beautiful blue-green colour. The rugged mountains in the background complete the picture.

This photo shows the stunning Karersee, a crystal-clear mountain lake located in South Tyrol, Italy, surrounded by the imposing Dolomites. The mountain range stands out majestically against the cloudy sky, while the dense pine forests at the foot of the mountains enhance the depth and tranquillity of the landscape. The waters of the Karersee have a striking emerald green colour that perfectly reflects nature, creating an almost magical scene. This serene and majestic scene exudes tranquillity and invites admiration for the beauty of pristine nature.

This work fits perfectly into a modern or minimalist interior in which the nature theme is central. Think of a large art print with a sleek frame hanging above a sofa in the living room, or a photo wallpaper that transforms an entire wall in a study into a window to the Dolomites. This photo also looks great in a Scandinavian interior, with light wood tones and neutral colours. For a luxurious look, have the photo printed on glass or aluminium, while a canvas print creates a more rustic and warm atmosphere.

With this beautiful image, you will bring a piece of the Dolomites into your home, an artwork that inspires and at the same time has a calming effect. Perfect for lovers of nature and travel.
