About the artwork
The Sierra Helada Nature Park is located on the Mediterranean coast and is a landmark of the Costa Blanca in Spain. Hiking along the mountain ridge offers wonderful views of the blue Mediterranean, the steep cliffs and the coastal landscape.
A particularly charming place is the lighthouse called Faro de l'Albir, which appears very picturesque in the mountain landscape. It is located on a hill right by the sea. The coast of Altea and Calpe stretches into the distance. Below the cloud rise the Sierra de Bernia, Sierra de Oltà and Morro de Toix. Next to them, the Peñón de Ifach Nature Park, Calpe's landmark, rises majestically from the sea.
This photo was inspired by the view towards the lighthouse and the green mountain slopes that give the Sierra Helada its characteristic appearance. The side of the Sierra Helada facing the sea impresses with its steep rock faces, while the slopes facing away from the sea appear rather gentle and are partly wooded.
In my opinion, the jagged limestone cliffs form a beautiful contrast to the blue tones of the sea. The scene is framed by the green tops of the pine trees. The Sierra Helada is a popular tourist destination in the province of Alicante because of its cliffs and fantastic viewpoints. This photo is dedicated to the natural park on the Mediterranean coast and the scenic beauty of the Costa Blanca.
