About the artwork

Porto in Portugal is an insanely beautiful port city with stunning views and historic buildings. Porto is characterized by River Douro and its bridges.

This photo was taken from Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar. Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar is a 16th century monastery built on a hilltop in Vila Nova de Gaia. From this hilltop you have a beautiful view of the city of Porto, the Douro River and the famous Luis I Bridge.

Although the view from this hilltop is visited and viewed by thousands of people every day, many people leave as soon as the sun goes down. This is a huge mistake, It is the moment when the city really comes alive! The lights of the city are on, the sky is turning darker and darker, and the magic is growing.

This photo was taken during the blue hour. This is the time when the sky turns beautifully blue. The blue sky contrasts beautifully with the orange street lights in Porto.

There is a lot to see in this photo. You can see the tower of Clerigos Church (Torre dos Clérigos), the Porto Cathedral, Episcopal Palace and Palácio da Bolsa, the Stock Exchange Palace.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
