About the artwork

Igls is a district and a cadastral municipality in the Austrian city of Innsbruck. It was an independent municipality until it was assigned to the Tyrolean state capital in 1942. Igls lies at an altitude of 870 metres on a low mountain terrace southeast of the centre of Innsbruck and can be reached via the Mittelgebirgsstraße.

Igls gained international fame through the Winter Olympics 1964 and 1976, when the bobsleigh and toboggan runs were organised here. There was also a ski run on the flanks of the Patscherkofel. The sports facilities that were built at that time are still used for international competitions today.

Edward Theodore Compton, usually referred to as E. T. Compton, (July 29, 1849 - Feldafing, Bavaria, Germany March 22, 1921) was a German artist, illustrator and mountaineer born in England. He is known for his paintings and drawings of alpine landscapes and as a mountaineer he made 300 major climbs, including no less than 27 first climbs. In 1867 his family decided to emigrate to Germany and settle in Darmstadt.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
