The Siedigkopf (872 m) is a mountain in the central Black Forest and lies between Renchtal in the north and Kinzigtal in the south. From the Lothardenkmal on the Siedigkopf, there is a wonderful panoramic view over the central and northern Black Forest. To the south as far as the Feldberg and, with very good visibility, even as far as the Swiss Alps. To the west into the Rhine Valley and the Vosges Mountains. The nearby Mooskopf is a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers. You can explore the area on many circular trails. In addition, the long-distance hiking trails Kandel-Höhenweg and Renchtalsteig lead over the summit. The Lotharden Monument commemorates the 1999 hurricane that swept across the Black Forest at top speeds and left a trail of devastation. The twelve-metre-high sculpture group made of silver fir was erected in 2005. With this sculpture, the artist Norbert Feger from Gengenbach (https://norbert-feger.de/) commemorated this catastrophe by taking up an essentially primordial human theme: stability and instability. Three narrow wooden figures leaning against each other provide support and stability. Yet it does not take much imagination to guess that this stability is basically endangered at any time.
