Tips for use

About ‘Via dei Calzaiuoli, A journey to Florence’ by Christoph Jirjahlke

And I was not the only one. In 2017, I was allowed to accompany an incentive trip of my then employer photographically. We spent a few hours looking at Florence.

Although the 85 mm lens compresses the perspective a bit: Yes, it really was that full of people there. When I found this picture in my archive, I was a bit shocked by the crowd. In recent years, people have tended to withdraw and avoid crowds. Despite this hustle and bustle, Florence had a very friendly and peaceful atmosphere. A melting pot. I've rarely seen so many nationalities in one place. If you search Google for this view axis and go to Streetview, you'll see that there aren't always so many people there. Black and white: I'm noticing on my social media channels that monochrome is back in vogue. People like the reduced. That's why I will probably offer some more black and white pictures here at Artheroes soon.
