In this still life I am interested in highlighting the colourful patterns of the crimson cloth (used here as a tablecloth) and especially in harmony with the indigenous vessels, which are also painted with Indian designs. At the same time, it is a way for me to approach these objects and to feel contemplative and respectful towards the people who made these vessels and fabrics. They stand there gracefully and reveal themselves to my eye. In the background, a part of my everyday life remains in my studio, which was built from wood, and it is important to me to be able to describe the texture of the wood, the cloak and the vessels in their essence. Everything is at peace.
