Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Venice - Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo’ by Thomas Bugdoll

The Venetians call it il Bovolo because its shape is reminiscent of a snail (bovolo in Venetian): But you have to look for the staircase Scala Contarini del Bovolo in the Sestiere San Marco in Venice, because it is hidden in the confusion of the narrow streets of the lagoon city. It is actually about a palazzo in an inner courtyard adorned by a gigantic, 26-metre-high, magnificent spiral staircase with 113 steps and a diameter of 4.70 metres in Byzantine-Gothic Renaissance style. Once you have climbed the entire staircase with five loggias on top of each other to the top, you have a beautiful belvedere with a 360-degree panorama of the roofs of Venice.
