Image of stately trees in the Speulderbos on the Veluwe. This forest is known, among other things, for the whimsical shapes of the trees. They were allowed to remain standing because they were not suitable for the timber industry and are now protected. The crests still allow some light from the sun to shine through their tender pale green leaves and enchant the walkers on their afternoon stroll.
