About ‘Vein’ by Studio Karin Bakker

Vein is an original monoprint from the Fragments series, a collection of works inspired by the hidden layers of the earth beneath our feet. The composition consists of subtle, layered structures in carmine red, magenta and earthy tones, intersected by a vibrant horizontal vein of intense chalk pigment. This line alludes to mineral deposits, geological fault lines and the invisible forces that have shaped the landscape over millions of years.

Thanks to the monoprint process, Vein is a unique work of art in which chance, texture and layering come together. The rich surfaces and organic forms invite the viewer to continually discover new details. The work strikes a balance between abstraction and landscape, evoking associations with rock, sediment, minerals and the tranquil beauty of the natural world.

Vein fits perfectly into a modern, minimalist or contemporary interior and appeals to lovers of abstract art, organic forms and earthy colour palettes. As part of the Fragments series, it pays homage to the passage of time, the power and the beauty of the earth.

Photographer for over 13 years, started as a portrait photographer and now since 2018 I focus completely on taking nature photos.
Put me in a forest and I'm happy, during my walks with my dog I tried to look around me very mindfull and by standing still and paying attention to the small details, I noticed how beautiful the light can fall on the small textures in nature. This is what I started to photograph.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
