This image with reindeer refers to the far North, Finnish Lapland, which was my inspiration when I took this trip. I hoped to depict the peace and space found in Finnish Lapland, but also the abundance of summer, the light, the colours.
The title came about because the reindeer are increasingly present from mid-Finland onwards, as you drive north.
The image fits perfectly in peaceful settings, its vibrancy and rich colours a nice accent for white spaces. But of course the sculpture also fits in colourful settings.
It fits perfectly in the bedroom, the living room or an open kitchen. And how about an office space?
I am a Dutch illustrator, lived in Belgium until 1999, after which I moved to Finland with my Belgian husband. Now I am also a mother of 3 children and she inspired me, as a free artist, to take this more applied path. I already illustrated.. Read more…
