This picture was taken on a Saturday at a bird hide owned by Han Bouwmeester.
On the mud flats, close to the Dollard, lies this bird hide where you can take beautiful pictures of nature but also of birds.
This was my 1st time to photograph from a bird hide. You look through your camera at a stretch of water with several islands of birds.
This mother Small Plover was in possession of 4 hatchlings.
The hatchlings were just hatching and so sweet and cute that I had more eye for them than the rest.
I shot this one because the mother is so watchful over her brood and it is such a beautiful sight that I wanted to share it with the outside world.
The photo was taken at 600mm with the Canon R7 and the Sigma 150-600
