About ‘Two cranes at the edge of the meadow’ by Quinta Mandala

A late summer evening at the foot of a mountain range. The mountains rise blue in the waning sun, while the wide field is covered with yellowish, half-dried ears of grass. The large tree on the right-hand side of the picture has no more leaves, although a narrow stream runs at its feet. The leaves of the smaller tree on the left have already turned a bright red colour. Two cranes stand waiting on the narrow road embankment. Their eyes are attentively directed towards the south. In the foreground, red poppies growing between the broad leaves of marsh grass stretch their heads towards the sun. A bush of daisies grows to the side behind the poppies.

This beautiful nature motif conveys peace and balance. Harmonising with all home furnishings, it comes into its own best in a suitable frame.
