Tug Triton at work at sea off IJmuiden. The tug during getting into position for towing. The sun sets beneath the waves foaming between the piers. Propeller water at the stern and plumes of smoke from the exhausts. The waves rolling under the tug. The raging waters of the North Sea. Photographing the tugs as they manoeuvre in the harbour ready for the ship entering. I frequent IJmuiden and other ports to photograph tugs and ships. During sunset and dusk that sets in is a challenge.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbour is another world.
