A tribute to Barbara Kruger (1945) she is an American conceptual artist. Most of her work consists of black and white photographs covered with declarative captions written in Futura Bold Oblique or Helvetica Ultra Condensed text. Recurring themes in her subversive and questioning work are feminism, consumption, individual autonomy and desire. She replaces the messages in the mass media that are supposed to encourage consumption with critical, aggressive one-liners.
