A tree in the woods in southern Italy. The tree is in Pollino national park in the Calabria region of southern Italy. Low-hanging clouds add a different atmosphere to the image. Italy is mostly known for its beautiful villages, cities and coast, but its mountains are also special. And Calabria is not very touristy. We were in Calabria in spring. It was about 15 degrees. Great weather for hiking through the forests. We spent a week in the beautiful mountain village of Civita. From there, you can take lovely walks through a deep valley or through the village and explore the surroundings. As it had rained quite a lot, the whole region was beautifully green.
Diana and Ronnie like to travel to areas where few tourists come.
