The Savelsbos is a narrow, whimsical slope forest, one of the most beautiful forests of South Limburg, unique for its rich flora and fauna. Under the forest the corridors of really old quarries meander. In the spring it is full of flowers in the Savelsbos. First the wood anemone blooms and then the badger garlic. It is a delight to the eye and a real adventure, as if you imagine yourself in an exotic jungle where you have to work your way through the vegetation and under fallen tree trunks.
