About ‘Tranquillity on the shore - contrast between nature and technology’ by Bengt Schrum

In the foreground of the picture is a weathered, partly rusty bollard in the water, which exudes an industrial charm thanks to its simple colouring and signs of wear and tear. A calm expanse of water stretches out behind it, with dense, lush green woodland and bushes dominating the scene on the opposite bank. In the distance, construction cranes and a tall chimney rise above the treetops, hinting at urban developments or industrial plants. The picture impressively shows the transition from nature to the man-made environment and invites reflection on their relationship.
