The Gellért mountain (Hungarian: Gellért-hegy) is a mountain in the Hungarian capital Budapest, located on the side of Buda in District I. The mountain bears the name of Saint Gellért, who found martyrdom here. The Gellértberg or hill (235 m high) lies between the Liberty Bridge and the Elisabeth Bridge and at the Hegyalja út. On the east side of the mountain plateau is the Citadel of Buda.
