The Wat Tham Suea temple complex in Kanchanaburi (not to be confused with the complex of the same name in Krabi) consists of, in addition to an 18-meter-high Buddha, these two iconic towers, among others: the Chinese-style octagonal Wat Tham Khao Noi and the orange pagoda Phra Chedi Ket Kaeo Prasat.
Both towers can also be entered and offer stunning views of the temple complex and and surrounding landscape.
The photo shows details of both towers along with another, smaller temple. This clearly shows that a temple complex consists of many different types of structures, all of which have their own function or meaning.
All structures, without exception, are lavishly colored and decorated with symbolic figures from Thai Buddhism.
