About ‘Tidal harbor on the French coast.’ by Frans Scherpenisse

This is a photo of a , tidal, dry harbor in the village of Château d'Oleron in France. It is almost a surreal image to see the boats lying on dry land, knowing that in an hour they will be afloat again. The sun reflects heavily over the still wet mud. There are also a few boats belonging to oyster farmers, the typical flat-bottomed boats.
