About the artwork

Along the coast of Saint-Malo, these sturdy wooden posts rise as a robust sea wall, defying whatever the sea fires at them. With their weathered appearance, they reflect the strength of nature and man's determination to protect himself from its tempestuous nature.

These poles are more than just a functional barrier; they are a symbol of the age-old struggle between land and sea, a reminder of the vicissitudes of the tides. They stand there as silent witnesses of time, as graceful lines that mark the boundary between the known w

Saint-Malo lies on the Emerald Coast (or Côte d' Emeraude). Traditionally a pirate town, today it is a popular port and very much worth a visit.

Nowhere in Europe are the tidal differences as great as on this coast. The difference can be as much as 14 metres at high and low tide, and it is happening rapidly. Where before you were lying on the beach you can suddenly swim. The spring tide (grande marée) is impressive here.
When I took this photo it was low tide, so I was able to photograph the wooden piles so characteristic of Saint-Malo in all their glory.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
