About "Through the eye of the needle"

About the artwork

This light art piece originated from a photo I took of the sky, hence the blue color.

While mirroring and rotating the photo, I came up with the idea of enlarging certain parts. And then this form was created.

At one point I saw a white "figure" appear in it. Then I realized that the oval shape reminded me of a needle's eye (but very magnified), so the name was quickly clear.

To me, this felt like when you are going through a process and you are almost through it. You experience it as extra heavy, it's the last mile. Because that's what you feel. That it is almost finished.

The size of the head of the needle indicates that in reality the "eye" is not so big at all, but that it is mainly about how it feels then.

The color white of the figure symbolizes the "purification". After each process you are lighter again, hence the white.

The color blue represents the divine. Our growth in consciousness brings us closer to our Source. Our blueprint.
