These three bottles are old and very old indeed. They are bottles that were originally used to store medicine. In other words, pharmacy bottles. So these bottles have a nice old label with the necessary curls and a nice text. In front of the bottles is a branch with spring blossom. The Prunus padus L. also known as the common bird cherry. It is a beautiful full colourful branch. This branch again lies in front of a parchment scroll, half unrolled. What is written on it remains a question, as the text is not really legible, but perhaps it is the instructions for the apothecary bottles in front of it. This work exudes history; it is therefore a piece of history. The style is, of course, correspondingly old. The colours used in this still life are mainly yellow, orange and green. A colourful retro work, which would do well on the wall of a house, office or, of course, a pharmacy.
As an artist, I like to enter a colorful world especially the world of flowers. This colourful and so positive world appeals to me enormously. Flowers spread a positive atmosphere because of the colors and the beautiful and diverse shapes and one can never get enough of that!.. Read more…
