Kampen is a medium-sized city in the east of the Netherlands. It is an old Hanseatic city located on the river IJssel. Actually, Kampen is one big museum. Among other things, it has a city bridge with golden wheels. You can also see from this artistic, abstract work that the buildings are very old. There are many decorations along the facades and old sash windows. Even the lantern looks old and therefore fits perfectly into the streetscape.
The old lantern takes a prominent place in this picture, casting a warm glow on the old buildings. The light from the lantern makes the person in the street appear as a silhouette.
The night atmosphere is an important part of this cityscape. This is therefore reflected in the colours. This artistic work was created from two (own) photos'two different photos'taken in the same street. Since the buildings are tall and the streets narrow, I used a low perspective for one of the two photo's, otherwise the top of the building would not be visible. The editing was done in Photoshop. The colours are yellow, red, blue and black, suitable for this night scene.
As an artist, I like to enter a colorful world especially the world of flowers. This colourful and so positive world appeals to me enormously. Flowers spread a positive atmosphere because of the colors and the beautiful and diverse shapes and one can never get enough of that!.. Read more…
