Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
  • Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
  • Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
  • The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
  • Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘The tree of Walporzheim on the Ahr’ by Matthias Bertram

This tree (more precisely: two trees) withstood the metre-high flood wave that swept through the Ahr Valley and Walporzheim/Ahrweiler on the evening and night of 14 to 15 July 2021. All vegetation, hedges, trees and houses were destroyed. This tree stood firm. It became a symbol and a sign of new beginnings after the flood. Painted in…
