The rugged coast of North Holland
From IJmuiden, the coast of North Holland seen on a winter day. The windmill The factories in the background. The steam from the cooling tower the clouds with a rain shower approaching. The beach tents just visible through the setting sun reflecting in the windows. A winter landscape photographed towards evening.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.

I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
