The hinterland of the Algarve in Portugal is rugged, authentic and largely dependent on agriculture. However, actuality and old skills go hand in hand. This shepherd manages with his dogs the proliferation of grass and weeds in and around the village. This prevents large fires in a sustainable way. It also provides an insight into the local culture for visitors.
