An imposing owl is seen in this unusual photograph.
The owl photographed is an eagle owl (Bubo bubo). The eagle owl is one of the largest owls in the world, growing to between 60 and 70 centimetres. So you can safely call that an imposing bird!
For me, owls are special birds. They are mainly active at night and therefore also have a mysterious character. With their large, often brightly coloured eyes, they can see perfectly well in the dark. And if you can also turn your head all the way around, you can see all the danger and also see where you can find some goodies!
I photographed this beautiful owl myself and was able to observe it up close at the time. Very special when it looks at you and you wonder what is going on in the owl's head at that moment. It was an unforgettable encounter!
I combined the photo of the owl with a self-made photo of some trees. The forest is an environment where this owl feels at home.
The final photo was digitally processed and given a pattern similar to a canvas. The soft background of the forest has a mysterious atmosphere, a little misty and fairy-like. Altogether, these photos form an artistic and picturesque owl portrait.
