The Blekerheide in Lommel turns into a magical landscape full of warm colours in the evening sun. Vast moors, fringed by jagged pine trees, are bathed in a soft orange and golden glow as the sun slowly sets. The sky turns deep yellow and almost purple, providing a picturesque contrast to the darkening green of the grass and heather. Fencing entwined with young shrubs zooms down the heathland. Sandy paths wind through the landscape, lit by the last rays of the sun, as the temperature begins to drop and a fresh breeze rises.
Here and there, the shadow of a grazing sheep or a stationary deer appears, their silhouettes sharply outlined against the coloured sky. Birds sing their last song before night falls and a serene calm descends over the heathland. In the evening sun, Blekerheide exudes a sense of endless space and timeless beauty, a place where nature shows off its beautiful colour palette for a moment before night takes over.
