The landscape of the 'Dead Trees'.
Photos were taken at the iconic Le Noir Flohay, an hour's walk from Baraque Michel in the High Fens, Belgium.
Le Noir Flohay is an area where a large portion of the pine trees burned down in 2011 due to drought. It has resulted in a beautiful area where, partly due to the combination with the snow and fog, there is a desolate but also serene atmosphere. The skeletons of the trees sometimes have very beautiful shapes. I kept taking pictures!
