About ‘The lake at dusk’ by Zehava Perez

Driving along the lake, From Bolsena towards Montefiascone, I was drawn to this image looming to my right. Lake Bolsena during the beautiful light of dusk. The small island in the lake -Isola Martana, named after the place Marta- is surrounded by a beautiful golden glow, reflecting off the water from under the cloud cover, giving the lake a velvety appearance. The bare branches of the dark trees in the foreground not only provide a beautiful vista of the island, but also add a mysterious touch to the scene.
