A lady walks across the old teak U Bein bridge at the end of the day, carrying food in a basket , accompanied by a lone swallow. The U Bein bridge is a pedestrian bridge near Amarapura in Myanmar. At over 1.2 kilometres, it is the longest teak bridge in the world. The bridge over Lake Taungthman was built around 1870. The teak wood came from an abandoned palace in Ava, which had become redundant after the capital was moved from Ava to Amarapura.
