The walk to the Briksdalsbreen glacier in Norway leads you through a beautiful valley. You can start at a parking lot and walk the first part over a gravel road. The beginning of the walk is still a bit steep here and there, but the views of the mountains around you are worth it. Along the way you will see impressive waterfalls, green areas with trees and many rocks. You cross the river Briksdalselva several times.
At some point you will come to the viewpoint from where the photo was taken. This is a beautiful, idyllic spot where you can sit down at a picnic table. There are also two swings hanging from a tree (not in the photo). Really take in the valley here, you can enjoy the greenery next to the river, the trees and the impressive mountain walls. And have you spotted the goats sitting by the water yet? Truly a place to relax. Admittedly, you will probably only find that peace in the morning or at the end of the day, because the Briksdalsbreen attracts many tourists. But if that doesn't bother you, it's a beautiful place. And this is just an intermediate station, if you walk further, you can admire the glacier from closer.
