The idyllic Risco del Paso lagoon

by Egon Hammel

This striking work of art depicts the breathtaking Risco del Paso lagoon on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. Gently flowing, crystal-clear, shimmering water in the most beautiful shades of turquoise and blue meets the fine, golden sandy beach here, whilst in the background the island’s striking landscapes, opening up to vast horizons, tower above, with the gently rolling mountains of Fuerteventura on the horizon.
This photograph was taken during an unforgettable trip to Fuerteventura, which I was lucky enough to experience with my girlfriend. The almost magical atmosphere there immediately reminded us of a place straight out of paradise – a feeling of absolute freedom, unspoilt nature and inner peace. These personal emotions and the pure joie de vivre of those days flowed directly into the photograph.
With this piece, I aim to bring an atmosphere of lightness, wanderlust and paradisiacal tranquillity into any room. It is intended to invite the viewer to escape the daily grind, to recall wonderful holiday moments or to awaken a joyful anticipation of the next travel destination. In interior design, the picture has a very special effect as a stylish focal point that conjures up warmth, a sense of space and a harmonious, relaxed atmosphere in living rooms or bedrooms. A real must-have for anyone who loves the sea and the beauty of nature.
