Waiting for a loved one, between hope and fear. The title 'The good Hope' is taken from the protagonist of Heijerman's famous work 'On Hope of Blessing.' A Japanese touch has been added to that.
The work is graphic and made with patterns of Japanese characters and patterns of leaves here and there.
The work can also be executed in textile / stretched on canvas, possibly as a four-piece folding screen. Please contact the maker directly.
There is also a 'night' version of this work: 'The good Hope guards'.
