About ‘The flower valleys of Kyrgyzstan’ by Yvonne de Bondt

Last year, I spent 10 weeks travelling through the Stans, or Central Asia.
Starting in Uzbekistan and travelling overland through raw insanely beautiful Tajikistan and then visiting green Kyrgyzstan.
Crossing the Tajikistan-Kyrgyz border, I entered a green valley with flowers, snow-capped mountains, horses and lakes.
A very peaceful sight and also a beautiful setting in the far south of this country called 'Turpunkul'.
The first two nights I slept in a traditional Kyrgyz yurt with this beautiful green hilly environment around me.
Also experienced the peace and quiet here and took many photos's (because there is no other way here) of these beautiful landscapes with Lenin Peak mountain in the background. It almost seemed like an unreal landscape so beautiful did I find walking around here and taking in all the beauty. It was also June so all the meadows were full of flowers and the lambs were also visible everywhere. In short, a great memory of this beautiful place.
