A stylish, tough, abstract woman, dressed in ragged layers of fabrics on top of each other.
A portrait on the dividing line of punk, court culture and nineteenth century poverty. Elegant and tough. Confident and alienating. Poor and rich. New and discarded.
With her hands at her sides and her hair done up, this woman stands in a confident and tough pose. But everything seems past glory. Her wealth seems past. Her softness is on the decline. Her individuality is absorbed in an anonymous blur.
The grayish colors with pink, red and black in the lead give a feminine yet powerful look to this abstract woman. A wonderfully stubborn image for a modern and playful interior.
This abstract collage was created in a very playful way by experimenting with painting functions, collage techniques and various layers in a digital image processing. To finish, there is a light structure over the work, which gives the feeling that it has been painted on linen and ties the entire composition together.
