On this night in June 2024, we were at the Dyrhólaey viewpoint in Iceland to photograph the puffins. When we had finished, we walked to the car under a very cloudy sky. Suddenly the clouds opened up over the endless black beach. So we quickly swapped the telephoto for a wide-angle lens and grabbed the tripod. The scenery was breathtaking. The wind caused the rays to change from minute to minute. I think the scene looks even more dramatic in black and white.
