Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘The drama of a groyne’ by Holger Felix

A groyne on the Baltic Sea coast. The highlights and shadows in the image have been enhanced to accentuate the dramatic lighting and create a stronger sense of depth. This has emphasised the contrast between the bright sunlight and the dark storm clouds. The black tones have been slightly reduced to improve the overall tonal range. This photograph has a calming effect in the foreground, whilst the horizon appears so dramatic that it seems as though the storm could reach the beach in a matter of moments.

Holger Felix, born 1959, photographer from Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I have been taking pictures since I was seven years old. I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon.
