Coral Bay is a small coastal settlement in the Shire of Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia.
The Ningaloo Reef stretches off the coast of Coral Bay. Unlike the Great Barrier Reef, this reef is very close to the coast and is easily accessible from Coral Bay. This makes the coastal town a popular holiday destination for snorkellers and divers. The colours of the shallow sea in Coral Bay vary from crystal-clear turquoise to deep blue - fascinating!
