About the artwork

I captured the minimalist landscape photo “The beauty of transience in Zeeland” on a sunny, windy spring day. On a beautiful day in spring, I went out to the dunes near Westenschouwen, on Schouwen-Duiveland. Tourism had not yet started; silence reigned over the landscape. Only the rustling of the wind and the soft sway of the sand under my feet accompanied me during my walk.

Nature slowly began to awaken from its winter sleep, but these two trunks remained behind in silence. They no longer bore leaves, no promise of growth. Only their weathered shapes, half sunken in the sand, reminded us of what once was. The strong wind, which smooths the dune and constantly sculpts new shapes, no longer seemed to have any hold on them.

It is precisely in their stillness that an unexpected beauty lies. Transience, often associated with decay, shows itself here as something serene. These small, dead trunks form a tranquil contrast with the ever-moving sand and the vast blue sky. The image is minimalistic, but rich in emotion. An ode to peace, to letting go, to the passing of time.

This minimalistic photo "The beauty of transience in Zeeland" as a reminder that beauty does not always lie in the new or the lively, but also in the transient.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
