In the heart of the Flemish polders, where time seems to flow slowly, the tower of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption watches over Damme. This little town was once a bustling port on the Zwin, where ships from all over Europe docked and trade brought prosperity. Today, Damme breathes peace and history: narrow cobbled streets, old facades, and above it the proud, weather-beaten church that has dominated the landscape since the 13th century. The tower rises like a silent witness to great times, framed by the greenery of the polder and the shade of centuries-old trees. Here, nature and past meet in an image that speaks without words.
