About the artwork
Two slender pine trees, like slender, proud sentinels, open the curtain on a jewel of the coastline. Between their gnarled trunks and dense foliage, we can make out a luminous village clinging to the coast, bathed in golden light, set like a mirage on the edge of an absolute blue sea.
The little white sails anchor silently, suspended on the water like so many marine fireflies. The vegetation generously frames the scene, accentuating the striking contrast between the freshness of the green and the mineral warmth of the façades.
It's a window onto a suspended moment, an ode to eternal summer, where the Mediterranean becomes one with the sky.
