After the storm subsided, the Ameland beach offered extensive opportunities for separate shots. The light was brilliantly soft and the colours were quite distinct. Especially the windblown sand formed a nice contrast with the (North) sea and the clouds completed the Dutch picture. Just a gem to have on your wall in large format. A beautiful beach view. All the more reason not only to go to the beach during sunny times, but also go during some lesser weather. You could also nicely see the sand accumulations that had formed behind the shells found on the beach. In the distance, a number of windsurfers were still active, gratefully taking advantage of the waves offered in combination with the wind. Recording was a bit of a struggle, as the sand was still being chased low over the ground by the wind. While sand and camera equipment are no friends.
