Charleroi is a large city in Wallonia, Belgium. The city used to be a setting of heavy industry on the one hand and great creativity and beautiful buildings on the other. No wonder Charleroi was called the second Brussels by some. Just over a century ago, the Cinema Varia (known by its Urbex name Cine Varia) was opened. Nowadays the theater looks abandoned, but the accents and art deco are still impressive. The complex is not freely accessible, which makes these photos even more unique.
