About ‘The Weight of Silence’ by Johangorissenfotografie

Looking up from the valley of Chamonix, where the first contours of the imposing Mont Blanc massif rise. At this moment, captured just before sunset, the mountainside transforms into a monument of light and texture. The sun casts its warm glow on the rugged rock formations, conjuring golden accents on the snow-covered slopes.

This photo captures the subtle but powerful contrast between light and shadow - a game that takes place every day, but is rarely so intensely visible. You can almost feel the stillness of the moment, the valley slowly darkening as the mountain lights up one more time. The soft pastel tones in the sky enhance the poetic nature of the image.

The creator's intention was simple but effective: to capture the beauty of natural light that momentarily softens hard shapes. It is an image that brings calm, but at the same time evokes a deep respect for nature.

Perfect for an interior where warmth, nature and stillness come together. This picture brings the grandeur of the Alps right into the living room - a quiet tribute to the interplay of sun and stone.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
